This listing is for a 5-page downloadable PDF crochet pattern for making a beaded necklace like the one pictured.

Using this pattern, you'll be able to crochet my favorite beaded necklace.

This crochet pattern was originally published in a physical printed pattern book called Delicate Crochet by Sharon Hernes Silverman. Stackpole Books is the publisher of this title.

This 5-page PDF pattern was tested and professionally tech edited.

In the pattern, you get international symbol crochet charts; written instructions; color photographs of the finished necklace; and a schematic. The pattern also includes a step-by-step photo tutorial for how to string the beads onto your yarn in preparation for doing the beadwork.

Up until now, the only way to get this crochet pattern was to buy the pattern book. However, I just released the standalone, digital PDF pattern, so now you can get JUST the pattern for the beaded necklace, if that's what you want to do. Thank you so much for considering it!

This is an intermediate-level crochet pattern. It’s also a one-skein project.

Gauge: 24 stitches and 8 rows = 4 inches in Treble crochet stitch

Crochet hook size: 2.5 mm

Finished necklace size: The necklace is one size measuring 14¼ in. (36.2 cm) long; adjustment instructions are included in case you want to make it longer or shorter.

What makes this my favorite necklace, you might ask?

For starters, it is sooooooo comfortable. In a jewelry box filled with decidedly uncomfortable necklaces, this one stands out as being one I am able to forget I’m wearing.

The prominent design elements include clusters of beautiful 14-karat gold plated beads. I selected these beads because I want this necklace to have lasting value and to be one that is worth your time to make.

However, no worries if gold beads aren't what you want; you can substitute the beads of your choice in the same general size range.

I’ve crocheted this pattern numerous times and have successfully made substitutions for the beads in most of the others I’ve tried. Glass beads in about the same size range also work well for this pattern.

The lacy crochet stitch pattern sort of reminds me of swirls of frosting on a birthday cake. To my way of thinking, birthday cake + gold = big winner!

This is a one-skein project that will leave lots and lots of yarn left over. You could make bunches of these necklaces and give some as gifts to friends!

The name of the suggested yarn for this pattern is Bio Sesia. It’s a fingering weight organic cotton yarn distributed by the Plymouth Yarn Company. Feel free to make substitutions if you wish.

In addition to the yarn and crochet hook, you’ll also need beads and a toggle for making this necklace. For this project, I used 14-gold-karat plated 3 mm round beads plus a toggle, both of which are from the “Gold Elegance” collection by the Cousin Corporation.

The pattern is written in US English terms.

There are no shipping charges, because, just a friendly reminder: THIS IS NOT A PHYSICAL PRODUCT. It's a digital PDF pattern that’s instantly downloadable. Therefore, nothing will be snailmailed to you if you buy this!

Thanks so much for considering this pattern! I appreciate your interest in my work. I am sincerely grateful to all of you who make purchases!
